As the owner of an older dog, I was relieved with
the extra consideration
that Cindy and her Mum gave my Malamute/HuskyX , Big Bad Jake. He
wasn't
really bad- just big and clumsy. As he grew older, Cindy produced
a
stepping stool to help his old legs propel him into her truck. When
he got
to the retreat and tried "to throw his weight around",
his playtime was
rearranged to coincide with dogs of a similar play style. And I
know he got
privileges - he was allowed to sleep in Cindy's bathroom (his choice
of
accommodation) or spent nights with Mum in her trailer because he
was lonely
outside and "sang" until they couldn't take it anymore
and allowed him in.
When Jake came home, he looked as if he'd been "on the town"
for a week. His
eyelids drooped and he walked as if he was very tired. He would
have to
take a couple of days just to sleep his holiday off. If I were to
guess, I
would say he had had a good time thanks to Cindy and Mum.
I recommend Cavorting K9 Retreat and its owners.
